Patna: Union Minister of State for Health Ashwini Choubey on Tuesday faced the ire of Patna residents when two youth attempted to blacken face with ink on him as a sign of protest over the government’s alleged inaction during the recent floods and dengue epidemic in the state.
Choubey, who represents Buxar, was on an inspection visit to the Patna Medical College and Hospital where several dengue patients have been admitted.
As he boarded his vehicle to leave the premises, two youth threw ink at him and escaped.
With water logging in the city and inaction of the government and Patna Municipal Corporation to rid the people of Patna of it and increasing number of Dengue patients in Patna, Patnaites have been very angry these days. Abuses to the MLAs and MPs are common these days.
In a recent video released, it is clearly heard how people of Kumhrar Assembly Constituency are abusing local BJP MLA Arun Kumar Sinha and inviting people for his rituals after death.
Waterlogging has impacted Patnaites’ lives badly on the occasion of Dussehra which is celebrated with much vigour in Bihar. Epidemic of Dengue has just added to the wrath of people.
At least 1500 patients are reported Dengue including those being treated at private hospitals in Patna. Plateletes are either costlty to manage or not available. Patients are forced to get treated on floor of PMCH emergency ward.
