TRS to build party office at national capital New Delhi

Hyderabad (Telangana): After retaining power in Telangana state and registering a historic victory in the recent assembly elections, the president of ruling Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) party and the chief minister of the state Mr. K. Chandrasekhar Rao is leaving no stone unturned to make his presence felt on the national political scene.  KCR, as he is popularly called by one and all, has come up with idea of ‘Third Front’ immediately after swearing in as the CM of the state and completed his first leg of talks with the satraps of important regional parties of the country like Trinamool Congress, Biju Janata Dal etc.

The TRS has now decided to build his party’s office in national capital with the sole objective of expanding his party’s base. The building would be called as TRS Bhavan. The union urban development ministry has decided to allot 1200 sq. yds land to the ruling TRS party from Telangana on the basis of its existing MPs in the Parliament. It has also asked the TRS to deposit Rs.5  crore to purchase the land.

The ministry has also sent the locations of three  plots to the TRS leaders and urged them to select one of them. “Our party president Mr.KCR has asked us to visit all these places and submit a report to him. A team consisting of the deputy leader of the party in Lok Sabha B. Vinod Kumar, Balkonda MLA V. Prashant Reddy, the architecture advisor of the state Suddala Ashok Teja visited Saket, Vasant Vihar and Deen Dayal Marg areas where the plots are located along with the officials of the ministry.

The officials showed the team members the boundaries of the proposed plot. “Our party president will finalise the place as soon as possible,” a senior party leader told this correspondent. He said that they were planning to begin the construction of the building after the upcoming Sankranthi festival and added that the foundation stone would be laid down for the building  by the CM. The party leaders are planning to complete the construction process within six months time. The party office at the national  capital will primarily be used to hold the party meetings and provide accommodation to the party MPs, MLAs and the party leaders.
